Cookies policy. No cookies.
We do not set any cookies on this website. We do not load third-party trackers, advertising pixels, or analytics tags. This page sets out our position in line with PECR and UK GDPR.
This cookies policy is published in draft form pending review and ratification by qualified legal counsel. It accurately describes our current technical practice: this website sets no cookies of any kind.
The short version
We don't use cookies on aiguard.systems. No first-party cookies. No third-party cookies. No tracking pixels. No advertising tags. No social-media share buttons that load tracking scripts. No fingerprinting. No session replay. No cross-site tracking.
The longer version
Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), the use of cookies and similar storage technologies on a user's device requires both clear information and prior consent (except for strictly-necessary cookies that are required to provide a service the user has explicitly requested).
Because this website does not set any cookies of any kind, no consent banner is required, and no consent process needs to be operated. The website's content is delivered statically over HTTPS. No client-side storage (cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB) is set or written by our site code in normal use.
What about analytics?
We do not operate Google Analytics, Plausible, Matomo, Adobe Analytics, or any equivalent. We do not have any first-party analytics. We do not retain visit-level data.
Our hosting provider Netlify Inc. may process standard operational logs, including request metadata and IP addresses on edge requests, for service-operational and security purposes. These logs are operated by Netlify under their own privacy policy. We do not access these logs for marketing, profiling, or analytics. We do not match them to any individual visitor or to identifiable accounts.
What about embeds and third-party links?
We do not embed third-party widgets (Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.). External links on this website (for example, to Zenodo for our published paper or to UKIPO for our patent applications) open in a new tab. They may pass standard referrer information to the destination unless suppressed by browser settings or link attributes. Once you follow an external link you are subject to the destination site's own privacy and cookie practices.
Browser fingerprinting and other tracking
We do not perform browser fingerprinting, device fingerprinting, canvas fingerprinting, audio fingerprinting, or any other identification or tracking technique. We do not retain IP addresses for visitor profiling. We do not match visit data to identifiable accounts.
If this changes in future
If at any point we introduce cookies or any equivalent storage technology, we will update this policy, provide clear information about the cookies set, and implement an appropriate consent mechanism in line with PECR and UK GDPR. We will not retroactively change cookie use without first updating this notice.
